Why do so many singers adopt a second persona, either onstage or in real life? It could be they just can't cope with being their usual selves sometimes -- or, more likely, it's that they're overflowing with more talent than it's fair for just one individual to possess.

Just to point out, she's not 'changing her name'. Sasha Fierce is a character which she becomes on stage. An alter-ego. It's a coping mechanism, a way of separating the potentially nervous person from the confident exterior. Don't hate what you don't even understand. That is all.

She's retarded. She has talent but there are others out there MORE talented like: Jill Scott, Chrisette Michelle, Janelle Monae, even Angie Stone!! I guess its because she has a figure and likes to shake and show her a$$.
No matter who you are or what place you take in this world you should never let your talents get to your head. When Prince changed his name I thought it was crazy, but He I had and have more respect for because he had put time into perfecting who he is...atleast a decade over.
She is prematurely grabbing at it. There Is such a cthing called "over-confidence" and it can rub people the wrong way or cause people to misjudge the person you "portray" yourself to be.
There will never be another "Prince", but there will surely be a few more "Sasha Fierce"'s shaking there A$$ on the stage.yuru456gd
