Ready for one bit of Led Zeppelin news that is actual fact and not rumor? Bassist John Paul Jones will join an eclectic all-star cast, including Michael Franti, the Allman Bros., Coheed & Cambria, Steve Earle, Joan Osborne and host band Gov't Mule, for Warren Haynes' 20th Annual Christmas Jam. The jam -- a fundraiser for Habitat for Humanity -- expands this year into a two-day affair at the Civic Center in Asheville, NC, on December 12 and 13. Jones first collaborated with Haynes at Bonnaroo in 2007, when the legendary bassist sat in with Gov't Mule. "And after seeing him at the Led Zeppelin concert in London, we spoke to about him performing at the Christmas Jam," Haynes said. "I'm thrilled he can make it."
No word yet on whether or not Robert Plant will be able to attend.
