On This Date in 1976: Jerry Lee Lewis is arrested outside the gates of Graceland, where he was found waving around a gun and demanding to see Elvis Presley.

The Almanac Advises for November 23: "Many of the musical rivalries reported in the press are merely staged events concocted to drum up publicity. In truth, these so-called adversaries are often actually good friends."
