Potent Quotables: Oasis on Top?

"You have to see us in league with the Rolling Stones now." --Noel Gallagher

The singer maintains that "everybody knows" Oasis. By extension, are we then supposed to included them in the great Beatles vs. Stones debate? Really?

I hope that the Oasis/Ryan Adams tour is paying you well for all of those audacious quotes, Kim.

And that none of that egg gets on you.

Noel Gallagher and Oasis could not shine The Beatles or Stones shoes.Oasis would be an opening band.

If he actually said "in league with", that's a whole different thing than "in the same league as". Neither one is true; I'm just saying.

After reading that quote, my face had the same dumbfounded look as that guy in the picture. Strangely enough, this band is SOOOO gargantuan, that I have yet to hear a single song of theirs on the radio let alone have any of their "monumental" music recommended to me by anyone. Me thinks this "oasis" thing is only a mirage in the distant sands.

Jesus, I know Oasis sucks, but come on, you guys. They were HUGE in the 90s. The fact that you've never heard them or had their music recommended to you is just sheer ignorance.

Oh well. I suppose it's good that these jerks don't have another fan.

This guy is living in another world. Can anyone name a song? What radio station plays them?

Oasis are and have always been a second rate Beatles rip-off except they never had the charm of the original.

It's just an indication of their ignorance and conceit to mention themselves in the same breath as the Stones.

You people are stupid! Oasis is an amazing band that doesn't get the credit they deserve. The beatles weren't even that great of a band. It is alot harder for bands nowadays to make it compared to when "The Beach Boys" and "The Beatles" were around. Oasis has heart and very meaniningful lyrics, unlike "Barbara Ann" lol what a joke. If you would actually know their music you'd agree with me. Bands don't have to be on the radio to be great, even though they have been on the radio!

"Barbara Ann" was covered by the Beach Boys; they didn't write it.

Even though it was a cover, they still sang such a horrible song, and made it popular! Oldies are overrated.
