Courtney Love Admits She Used Heroin During Pregnancy

After her blogging binges, it's amazing Courtney Love has any good stories left. Oh, who are we kidding? She's got a bevy of 'em and here's another: Love admits that she told daughter Frances Bean that she used heroin while she was pregnant, a story Love denied when it was first reported in Vanity Fair. "We went on a binge," she told VF writer Lynn Hirschberg in 1992. "I did heroin for a couple of months." Those months happened to coincide with her first trimester.

"My daughter knows I did drugs in my first trimester of pregnancy," she tells British Elle magazine. "She weighed 7 pounds, 6 ounces when she was born and she was healthy." Love then insists that she and Kurt Cobain were model caregivers, saying, "We were excellent parents and I say that despite pretty much always having an edge on. Frances bonded very well with her father, at least in the first year-and-a-half of her life."

But, as with every Love interview, she doesn't stop there. Love goes on to discuss her weight loss methods, including her doctor-denied requests for a gastric band, and the fact that she has a "very satisfactory sexual life."

For those who've ever been embarrassed by their mother, think of Frances. You'll feel better.

It's old news; she confessed it a long time ago.
It's a real shame to me that she can get away with having a perfectly healthy baby while shooting up heroin whereas others who abstain completely give birth to sick or dead children (Of course she has better health care coverage than God...). Still, what a filthy bitch she is. Worst part is, I hear her daughter is a lot like her; look out, world!

She had a syringe in her arm 24/7...that 24/7 includes pregnancies, bed-time stories to the poor kid when he was born, helping him with homework...she was jammed 24/7...No surprise

at 12-04-2008Okay I'm not condoning what she did but has anyone considered that she may not have known that she was pregnant when she did it. I know many girls who have been pregnant and didn't realize it until they where past the 1st trimeste. One that I know didn't even know that she was pregnant until she went to the hospital for what she thought was the flu, and found out she was in labor. At least she is honest with her daughter about it, and stopped before she got farther into her
----------------------------This is where you nods loose me. It's not stupid enough that she did Heroin in the first place. Why should there be any excuse for that? It can't be that everyone is that dumb and they consider this normal behavior.
