On This Date in 1974: White Stripes drummer Meg White is born Megan Martha White in Grosse Pointe Farms, Mich.

The Almanac Advises for December 10: "Boys should be encouraged to spend their playtime with their sisters. The sharing of toys between opposite-sex siblings will help the males develop into more sympathetic romantic partners to their female partners when they grow up."
