Without question, 2008 will go down in the indie-rock universe as the Year of MGMT. Thanks to this nifty slice of falsetto synth-dance-pop (a veritable hipster 'Emotional Rescue'), the Brooklyn duo worked their way up to indie's upper management, so to speak, ending the year as a marquee live act and future major player. By autumn, 'Electric Feel' had made it onto virtually every mix CD, road-trip playlist and college dorm in America.

wat the hell?? this list is sooo stupid... there are so many better songs that deserve to be on this list. People if you're going to make lists of good songs atleast put good songs on it. i agree with sweetmeli718. people need to know music!!!

OK WHO THE HECK MADE THIS LIST???NOT ANYONE THAT ACTUALLY LISTENS TO MUSIC RIGHT!? I am utterly dissapointed, there were many better songs that should have been on this list. In the top five alone are four singers I never even heard before!

This list is really bad. The creator of this list obviously has not listened to any music other than indie-rock that is so far from mainstream that it isn't even actually classified as music anymore. The person that composed this list should be fired.

I like this song. It's different and much better than some of those who I don't think deserve be on a list at all can produce.

O.K!!!! The name of this list is The Best Songs of 2008. For those of you who keep complaining about how much this list sucks because you haven't heard of these songs before should be on the Most Popular Songs of 2008 list. Advice, just because it's something you aren't use to or don't customarily listen to doesn't automatically equate a "bad" song. What's even funnier is that most commenting see their (opinions) because that's exactly what they are, as the sworn word of gods. Get over yourself. What does it take for people to realize that opinions are truly like @$$holes....everybody has one?
