Kid Rock recently said that he wanted to take a cue from Amy Winehouse and adopt authentic '60s soul sounds. He should have sought out this former Tony! Toni! Toné! leader, who delivered the real deal with one of the year's most satisfying R&B cuts. Whereas Winehouse enlisted the Dap-Kings, Saadiq hired an original Funk Brother, percussionist Jack Ashford, and has effectively asked those Brooklyn retro-soulsters for the crown back.Buy it on iTunes

Great! its different. I didn't know most of these songs even came out this year it doesn't really seem to be THE BEST OF 08 but all good songs... I guess they just dont remind me of 08.
