'If He Should Ever Leave You,' Tom Jones
Leave it to this 68-year-old crooner to bring true swagger back to pop music. This gem combines Jones' trademark confidence and swinging delivery with modern production, care of Future Cut. The finished product is neither a redundant throwback nor a desperate attempt for an old dog to learn a new trick. This is a brand-new classic, brought to life by an old favorite.Buy it on iTunes

I have had the pleasure of seeing Tom's performances many times with a lady who adored his talent and then some.Being a vocalist. and fronting a band and vocal groups for some time, also covering a number of his hits through the years, I could relate with his feelings while he performed each tune.Myself being 3 years younger than Tom,also still performing,it is always great to see a true icon, from yesteryear to the present day, give his all each time, and still awe his audiences. Not only the ladies, but being a man's man, if you haven't seen his act yet guys, treat your lady to a dinner and a great show. Oh yeah, don't think age related, he might just surprise you. ROCK ON TOM!!!

January 05 2009 at 4:25 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyI loved the album "24 hours", liked every song and the background music is great. I like very much that the album opens with the song "I'm Alive", it jump starts me out of a "down" mood to remind me "hey your still alive and part of life, you got choices. My other favorites are Hitter, Memories and the song 24 hours, also, even though it is very deep, kind of on the "dark" side, perhaps like a person on death row; but, I also take it as a human being reflecting on his life and realizing he had better get it together soon.
