"We're done with the record business, so we're free to do whatever I want." --Billy Corgan
In a recent interview, the notoriously dogmatic Smashing Pumpkins frontman was unapologetic about his egotism, adding, "... whatever I want -- that's right."

I like the Pumpkins, but doesn't Billy realize that the reason they broke up the first time was because he was an egotistical asshole? That doesn't work with a band. He needs to have a solo project if that's what he wants. Arrogant S.O.B.

That was MUSIC not this commerical crap that IS POLLUTING the airways now. You assholes have no taste or ears for anything intelligent. Guess if he wrote (get that he actually writes his own stuff!!!) and the same ignorant lines with the same worn out beat then, it might be compatible with your iq!
January 15 2009 at 6:07 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyIf you can really say the Smashing Pumpkins are better than anything out now, either you're living in the past or you haven't listened to any modern rock music. They're good, but far, far from the best band ever. Ignorance is bliss, I suppose.
