On This Date in 1971: Actor Jared Leto, who also fronts the band 30 Seconds to Mars, is born in Bossier City, La.

The Almanac Advises for December 26: "Many people hold down second jobs in order to make ends meet. These moonlighters often are required to find work that differs from their primary job."
