Courtney Love Supported by Tequila and Tampons

Courtney Love's upcoming studio album will be sponsored by "a prominent brand of tequila" and "a prominent femine hygiene/menstrual company." This joke is too easy.

The news comes from the anonymous "Head Administrator" of Love's MySpace blog, who claims the unorthodox business arrangement is worth $30 million to the former Hole frontwoman.

Although 'Nobody's Daughter' --- Love's first studio album in five years -- was originally planned for a New Year's Day 2009 online release, but the project was bumped to later in the year due to technical difficulties. Based on the MySpace administrator's new blog post, it seems the Michael Beinhorn-produced sessions were blamed on Love's "commitment to excellence," not to mention "gerbils in [the] room" and the fact that the studio "had some paranormal technical issues."

While the release date has yet to be revealed, "[Courtney] will not make you wait another year or five," according to the blog post, which added, "If you think she's the Kooky cherry koo koo bananas kinda person that comes on here and blogs like she's high or drunk -- think again! Courtney is sober, clean, classy and very elegant and sophisticated and super intelligent."

Again, too easy.
