No Chance of a Led Zeppelin Reunion, Says Manager

For once and for all, the members of Led Zeppelin will not record or tour, according to the groups management. Despite an announcement on BBC6 this week from manager Peter Mensch that the remaining members of Led Zeppelin were likely to record and tour with a new singer, that will not be the case.

"Led Zeppelin are over! If you didn't see them in 2007, you missed them," Mensch -- who also handles the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Metallica -- told musicradar.com. "It's done. I can't be any clearer than that.

"They tried out a few singers, but no one worked out," Zeppelin's manager added. "That was it. The whole thing is completely over now. There are absolutely no plans for them to continue. Zero. Frankly, I wish everybody would stop talking about it."

Love zeppelin but robert plant lost his voice a long time ago......thats why they want another singer. he has no voice left at all, he sounds terrible and they are my fav band ever

kimathena100, you're wrong. just cuz robert can't do all the things he was able to do before, doesn't mean he can't sing anymore. his duet w/ alyson krause is proof he has a beautiful tonal quality to his voice.

Zep was done when Bonham died. Sure I like some of the stuff Plant and Page have done since, whether solo or united, but it's no Zepplin. It is cheap and disappointing to me that they even try to sell it as Zep. Call it something else, it's not like they are starting out unknown and we won't figure out who it is.

I give them alot of credit. Surely they know that there are millions and millions of dollars to be made, more money than they could make on thier own the rest of their lives. Yet they havent tried to cash in, they have always maintained that the music is the thing, not the money. Good for them. In a world gone money mad and full of greed, it is nice to see a group worry more about their musical integrity than cold hard cash.

this is silly, 'cause ALL john paul cares about is the money and one of the prime things jimmy keeps throwing out there is the money.

ROBERT is the one with the integrity saying the money doesn't matter. JIMMY is not a class act at all. nor is john paul.

and jason...he is merely a huge fan that would gladly do it given the opportunity, regardless of the money, although he finds the money offers staggering when they come in and often has thought it fooloish not to take advantage of such, but again, that is NOT his prime concern. he simply wants it to happen.

Looks like someone crawled under a rock instead of out from under one. You gotta be kidding me, this music was great in the 70' and still is today! God bless Led Zeppelin!

Is it that it just doesn't fit in with all of your fellow barflies these days? Or is it that you only listen to gospel now?

I think they should think of their fans. There is a guy in a Baltimore band called Get the Led out who is amazing close as the lead singer. He wasn't known of to be given a chance. Hell look at Journey with their new lead singer, he is a great replacement for Steve Perry. I know so many of you are Led Heads but why not check out the guy in Baltimore. And as for this new country thing are you kidding me really. You don't have the energy for the reunion yet you will try this crap thats a slap in the face to Led Heads everywhere. I am neutral as my thoughts of the band yet respectful of their abilities as musicians. I understand wanting to be 100% I get that, but I ask you what of your loyal fans. I would be like if Elvis was alive and decided to sing opera!

I was lucky enough to see them at Madison Square Garden in 1972 or 73, stairway to heaven was new and when they played it, it was magic, I'll never forget that hot night in NYC, thanks guys

With Led Zeppelin it was always about the music, when John died the bands public comment was "We are not and cannot go on as Led Zeppelin without John" They have always lived that comment even when Jimmy and Robert toured in 1998 they didn't invite John Paul because they wanted to keep the bands integrety intact. The very few shows they have played together only ever included Jason Bonham John's son out of the un-dying respect they have for John. The same goes with Robert Plant there is no one on earth that can sing any Zeppelin songs other than Robert. I have new found respect for the living members of Led Zeppelin when I thought I could never have anymore respect than I already did. Led Zeppelin defines respect for rock and roll and the integrety for the music no matter who offers them the millions to reunite, and to say 'we cannot go on as we were" speaks infident volumes...
