Annie Lennox is literally everywhere in her brand new video -- a cover of Ash's 'Shining Light,' one of two new tracks (the other being Keane's 'Pattern of My Life') that appears on her upcoming solo anthology, 'The Annie Lennox Collection.' In addition to singing the song, Lennox is also playing guitar, bass and drums simultaneously in the video. But don't think that she is now a one woman-band: she is more like pretending to play those instruments.
"I didn't know who the band was going to be because I really don't have a [regular] band," she tells Spinner. "I was thinking, 'I'll get some women [and] it'll be an all-female band.' Then I had another thought, 'Well, maybe I could just be all the women in the band,' and that would be fun. So I'm all the characters in the band at the same time. I mime bass and lead guitar really badly. [But the video is] really sweet and it's beautiful."

Wow. Annie Lennox just gets better with age, doesn't she? I hope that the goodwill from her recent American Music Awards performance extends to the reception of this single. She's one of the truest voices in music, of any decade.
