Of Montreal Owe Lady Luck to Computers, Dead Kennedys

Of Montreal's Bryan Poole owes his luck with the ladies to computers and influential punks the Dead Kennedys.

"I used to be a freaker -- it's kind of like a hacker," he tells Spinner when Of Montreal stopped by our L.A. studio for an Interface taping. "There was this guy that ran a BBS system and we'd have these great conversations all night long. It's only through this computer thing that we wound up speaking to one another. But he said, 'Oh, that's a Dead Kennedy's record,' and so I went and bought it. Before that I was just a geeky computer kid in my room. I'd never kissed a girl in my life. I found that record and it kind of opened a lot of doors for me. So there you go, Jello Biafra."

See, kids? Computer nerd turned rock star -- ultimate revenge of the nerds. Check out the band's full Interface performance after the jump.
