Music Appreciation: Sean Penn

Surprisingly, Sean Penn says he's just not that into music, claiming to have attended only 10 concerts ever. That said, the 'Milk' man did see AC/DC recently and enjoyed it so much he actually stayed for the whole show. The recent Oscar winner did once show up at the Coachella festival, but that was to promote social causes.

Sean Penn won the Oscar for Best Actor for his role as the late gay activist and first openly gay politician in California, Harvey Milk, in 2008's 'Milk.' You can watch the documentary film 'The Times of Harvey Milk' free on SnagFilms.

Sean Penn is a pathetic, despicable, disgusting, socialist idiot, who thinks Chavez is some kind of hero. What does that tell you about what a screwed up being Penn is??? I wish he would move to Venezuela and we could be rid of him!

oh and all these people have shyt taste in music....god god, secretly listening to waht i call antimusic. backstreet boys, n*sync, beyonce...these are the "musicians" that threaten the existence of real bands. there are bands out there that write music so poetic and symphonic that its staggering. Dream Theater for example. its hard and heavy for the headbangers among the world, its not just some rubbish that was thrown together so some "artist"(not the word i would choose) of the minute can make a few bucks and 12th grade girls (and obviously famous people with talent and no taste) can get off on.their music is near symphonic. complex melodies, symphonic complexity. hell mike portnoy, their drummer actually tunes his drums....how many drummers atually do that? and lady gaga? come on, i cant even say the name with a straight face, shes garbage.these pop stars, most of them have their music written for them so all they really are are mouthpieces. figureheads of the musical apocolypse.

Mr. Sean Penn, I truely appreciate everything you did for our state (La) during "Katrina". I actually saw a picture of you pulling a boat, waist deep in flooded streets, while trying to find people to bring to safety. Thank you again for all of your help..
As for as watching you receive the Oscar for "The Milk Man", and you NOT giving thanks to your wife for supporting you while making the film, It broke my heart to see the tears run down her face because of you ignoring her during your acceptance speech. When you are married to someone, they are not only your partner or the person you're suppose to love above all others, but also your life mate. You should be ashamed of the way you treated Robin while giving your acceptance speech. She has stood by you during the past 13 years or longer, supported you during any and/or all crisis, made difficult decisions to take you back and try to make your marriage work, and ALL BECAUSE SHE LOVES YOU!!! PLEASE don't ever disrespect her again and PLEASE do a favor for me: Please make a Formal Apology to her for breaking her heart for excluding her in your acceptance speech. I KNOW HOW THAT FEELS BECAUSE I HAVE BEEN IN HER PLACE BEFORE. To look up to the man that you admire & love with all your heart and then he ignores you when all you want is to be needed and appreciated. IT DOES break your heart. PLEASE, apologize to her . You are only human in God's eyes and the people of our state saw that you DO have a heart because of the people you helped to save during Katrina. An avid fan, Rosa

I completely agree! I'm told Mr. penn has a home near me, (Alameda) he's in Oakland Hills, and I read and heard over the radio, how Mr Penn, kept busy outside of his home, So WTF? You think the Mrs. should put up with your crap cuz your Sean Penn? Sorry baby, no-man is worth that, and I agree give your wife the public apology she deserves, get over yourself, and remember one who cared.

I used to respect Penn as an actor but he has turned into a male Susan Surranden. Poor guy!

What is wrong with Susan Surrandon?
What was the point of your comment?
Why say anything if you can't say something
positive. Do you really think he care's
what you think. Are you his son or just
someone negative aol stalker? Why did
you waste your energy?
