U2's 12th studio album, 'No Line on the Horizon,' won't be in stores until tomorrow, but the band has already announced plans to release another studio disc before 2009 is out.Comprised of material drawn from the same recording sessions, the as-yet-untitled long-player will be a "companion" to this week's release. According to the New York Times, album number 13 will have a "more meditative and processional tone".
In the four and a half years since 2004's 'How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb,' U2 have been active in the studio, including an unfinished project with noted producer Rick Rubin. The band's plan for a companion disc to 'No Line' blossomed from an initial concept to release two EPs.
