Nat 'King' Cole Remembered by TV on the Radio, Cee-Lo

Nat "King" Cole is being remembered by a new generation with a collection of remixes of his songs by TV on the Radio, Cee-Lo, Brazilian Girls and Damian and Stephen Marley.

For Carole Cole, who spearheaded the 'Re-Generations' project on behalf of King Cole Partners and Productions, this all plays perfectly into her father's eclectic love of music.

"Dad continues to be so alive in this world," Cole tells Spinner. "When we were growing up he was interested in what Natalie [Cole, Carole's sister] and I were listening to, and now we have a new dialogue between the generations. We didn't just go for the signature tracks, we took a hard look at Dad's catalogue and created a list of tracks that would work well with each artist."

Carole is certain that her father would've approved. "If he were here today, he would be buying and producing these artists," she says. "He had a wide appreciation of people that make music."
