I always hated when U2 and Coldplay was compared to each other. Coldplay is nowhere near the same level. It's nice to know that Bono and I share the same beliefs yet again.

I'm with cmoore7274, the remark was probably taken out of context...and while I like most of Coldplay's music, I seriously doubt they'll ever win 22 Grammys or still be putting music on the charts 20 yrs from now. U2 got where they are because people like their music and they are the best live show you'll ever see!! 28 yrs since their start they sound as good as ever...and not because of "dumb luck"...U2 ROCKS!!!

Either you are a complete idiot or you have a hearing problem if you think U2 and Bono have gotten where they are because of dumb luck. While I like Coldplay, their music and their 6 or so years of "stardom" can in no way be compared to that of U2. You can hate on Bono and U2 all you want, but if you ever want to be taken seriously by anyone, you won't ever say out loud that U2 is U2 because of dumb luck.

Bono should talk-I dont know why he would think Chris Martin is a wanker, when he(Bono) is the biggest wanker that ever lived!!! And his music is much better than Bono could ever think of doing even in his wildest dreams. Martin has gotten as far as he has because of talent, and not dumb luck like Bono. Not only is Bono a wanker, but a big schmuck as well.

U2 have sold more than 145 million albums worldwide and have won 22 Grammy Awards, more than any other band. In 2005, the band were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in their first year of eligibility. Rolling Stone magazine listed U2 at #22 in its list of the 100 greatest artists of all time.......Beat that!

Why do people listen to what "rock stars" have to say? they are just a bunch of twits in the public eye. Being a celebrity means nothing more than people like what you do. It doesn't make you an authority on anything. It just shows what kind of idiots the general public (read sheep) really are. Bono is not an expert on world affairs or anything else for that matter. He is a Performer!!!! That is the only thing is good at (and I question that also). His opinions on anything other than that, are just that opinions. Just rememeber that opinions are like buttholes, everyone has one and they all stink.
