I'm not so sure it was off the top of his head.
"Neko" is also the Japanese word for "Cat". (spelled the same way, if you use english letters)

Well to be fair...her name is pronounced like Nico/Niko (knee-koh) though, not like the word for cat which is (neh-koh).....damn romanization of sounds is hard!

I love the fact that someone else in the world had angst as a youngster caused by the fact that everyone else had a license plate, mug, pencil, etc. with his/her name of it except her! I can totally relate! (with a name like "Rochelle", I got really tired of seeing everything with "Michelle" or "Rachel" on it!)
