PJ Harvey Loves 'Seinfeld' and 'Curb Your Enthusiasm'

PJ Harvey has long talked about her need to never repeat herself. Surprises, she says. Well, here's one: Harvey wants to branch out into comedy. "I love comedy," she tells Spinner. "It's one of my favorite things to do or see. And believe it or not, I have quite a healthy sense of humor. [laughs] Although it's not always that I'm portrayed like that, it's one of my favorite things. Always has been."Harvey, whose new album with John Parish, 'A Woman a Man Walked By,' is out Tuesday, adores 'Monty Python' and 'Black Adder' from her native England, and American shows like 'Seinfeld' and 'Curb Your Enthusiasm.' She actually sounds giddy when asked if she would be interested in scoring an episode. "Oh my goodness! I would love to," she says.
She'd also love to do her own show and perhaps try a bit of stand-up comedy herself. "One of my desires would be to do some great combination of comedy and music," she says. "I haven't quite worked out what that is yet. But yes, it's definitely one of the many things I would like to achieve."

If you don't care and don't know who she is then why read it and complain that you don't know. It's obviously interesting to people who know her and her music

She is probably one of the most prolific and important singer/songwriters of the last 20 years, especially within Alternative and Indie rock. I'm sure you've probably heard her songs "Perfect Day Elise", "C'mon Billy" or "Down by the Water." Not to mention, she's collaborated with some really amazing artists such as Thom Yorke, Nick Cave and Josh Homme.

As for this story, I love it. Her music is so moody that you tend to forget that she does have a sense of humor. It would be cool to see her do something with comedy and music.
Who is this? Never heard of her! Does anyone actually care about this story?
