The Disco Biscuits will return to the rolling fields of Mariaville, NY, this summer (July 16-18) for the eighth annual Camp Bisco -- a three-day camping music festival which they both headline and curate. As always, the line-up is an extension of the Disco Biscuits sound, which brings together electronica and jam rock. In addition to no less than six Disco Biscuits sets throughout the event, Sound Tribe Sector Nine (STS9) will perform on two consecutive nights, and additional artists include Chromeo, the Orb, Dr. Dog, Damian Marley and Nas, K'Naan, and Pretty Lights. This year also features a late-night dance tent with different theme nights. The "DFA Disco Tent" will house a set by Special Disco Version (featuring James Murphy and Pat Mahoney of LCD Soundsystem). Twisted Records will host the other theme night where Younger Brother is scheduled for a rare live-instrument show on the main stage, along with an equally rare double DJ set by Shpongle (Simon Posford vs. Raja Ram). As always, there will be a band-certified color war and the sights, sounds and smells of what the campers so lovingly refer to as "Bisco."
Additional marquee artists will be announced shortly; in the meantime the Disco Biscuits launch their first California tour in two years this Friday night at the Fillmore in San Francisco. The band will also host a one-day festival on May 30 at Red Rocks in Colorado, and will hit the festival circuit at large this summer with slots at Fuji Rock in Japan, Rothbury in Michigan, and High Sierra in California. Campers, don't forget to write.
