Kid Rock Acquires Naming Rights for Ballpark

Kid Rock has acquired the naming rights to what was previously known as "Comerica Park," the ballpark that hosts the Detroit Tigers. It will now be known as "Kid Rock Field." Well, so the news is on April Fools.

"This has been a dream of mine for a long time, and with the banks in trouble, it seemed like the right time for me to reach out," Rock said in a statement. "I've never been more excited for opening day."

In a separate but equally wacky development, Michigan Brewing Company is launching a Kid Rock line that will become the official beer of the Detroit Tigers. So now when you go out to the ball game, you'll be able to wash down the peanuts and Cracker Jacks with a pint of American Bad Ass.
