Inspired by the Platters' 'The Great Pretender'

According to one version of the story, Chrissie Hynde was hanging out with some rough characters, one of whom wanted to play his favorite song for her. After making sure that none of his pals were in sight, the guy put on the Platters classic 'The Great Pretender.'
