Song-Inspired Band Names: The Rolling Stones

    The Rolling Stones
Inspired by Muddy Waters' 'Rollin' Stone'

"He stole my music," the blues giant Muddy Waters, who hit big with the song 'Rollin' Stone' in 1948, once said of Mick Jagger, "but he gave me my name." He doesn't mean that literally, as Muddy, born McKinley Morganfield, received his own stage name from his childhood fondnes for playing in mud.

Gee...who woulda guessed they did DRUGS and hootches?
This who group of freakazoids got hit with the ugly stick and there is nothing charming or endearing about them physcially, morally or socially....watching that monkey faced sacka skin and bones is probably the most revolting visual a human can endure...and when its over 62 it crossed over into putrid territory. Keith Richards is a nightmare in a headband. Blech.

DA, give it up. Nobody's buying your baloney. Your probably stuck in some adolescent gonad traffic jam and its all turned to acid inside you, and now you spew it out and want us to listen?

The Stones are one of the greatest rock bands of all time. . . that ain't an opinion--its a fact.

You, on the other hand, are one of the greatest bores of all time.

Why would any woman want to be with the Stones??

Keith Richards is the ugliest man alive and before he hit age 20, he had to be the ugliest teenager.
Mick Jagger has a 1/2boy 1/2woman face and when he unbuttons or takes of his shirt, he looks like a 12 yr.old boy.

    Ick!

Well maybe because They've been more Popular, and Bigger than Michael Jackson could ever be, and have more money to burn, than almost every other Rock Band in History! They've been playing music in sold out arena's for over 5 generations, and inspired countless other musicians! In simple terms, they're the Rock Band of the Century!

Hey probably the greatest certainly most enduring band's of all time - say whatever you want in your article, they will just say 'Get off my Cloud' and by the way - jealously will get you nowhere

My all time fave band. Timeless tunes/lyrics. How many songs from this pathetic era of music will be remembered 30 yrs from now? The showmanship and energy this band exudes is phenominal. Respect.

Hey DA Which is clearly is Dumb ass.
Your pathetic comments indicate just how weak brained you are. WIth a negative IQ that is obvious, try to educate yourself and understand the priviledge your ears are honoured when listiening to the talent of men who have contributed more than your slop like head has the capacity to appreciate when it comes to great music.

Ditto kazoo - the greatest band of all time - go past the craziness which is nothing compared to today's physical abuse of girlfriends and wives - and let them keep producing music and lyrics that will keep us going.

Respond if anyone can name better songs than "I can't get no satisfaction" or "Start me up"...

The rolling stones are probably one of the hardest working rock groups out there. They been putting out albums and some uniquely composed songs for 4 decades.Sure drug experimentation during the 60's & 70"s was the in thing man.Tune in and drop out was the phrase. There the Best man...
It's all about survival. The Doors, Hendrix,The Beatles Led Zeppelin even Michel Jackson couldn't deal with it. They say they got a pack with Satan!I would like to be able to see that Flick in the near future if possible...What ever they did had the right touch!!It's
ONLY ROCK N ROLL BUT I LIKE IT,LIKE IT YES I DOO...
