The band prefers to say they took their name from a U-Haul employee who wondered what line of work these bespectacled nerds were in. Oddly, if they admitted getting their name from the defunct Chicago emo band Cap'n Jazz, they'd have plenty of company: Several bands, including Scary Kids Scaring Kids, In the Clear and Oh Messy Life, have named themselves after the Cap'n Jazz oeuvre.

why is it so hard to believe that it didn't happen like the band said? It's not like it's some crazy insane great unique genius notion.
