Millions Reportedly Looted From Kurt Cobain Estate

Courtney Love has come to the realization that handlers of the estate of her late husband, Kurt Cobain, have allegedly lost all the money that the Nirvana frontman had left for her and their daughter Frances Bean. A team of lawyers, forensic accountants and investigators have reportedly determined that Cobain's estate has been looted of more than $30 million in cash, and up to $500 million in real estate.

"I have never seen such greed and moral turpitude. This case is going to make Bernard Madoff look warm and fuzzy," Love's lawyer, Rhonda J. Holmes, of Gordon & Holmes in San Diego, told the New York Post. "We will be filing civil cases ... within the next 30 days. There are many, many millions missing. We've only been able to track down $30 million, but there is more. And then there is the real estate."

"Courtney noticed the money was gone when there wasn't any left," says Holmes. "It's no secret she struggled with substance-abuse issues, but in the last year she's taken a more serious approach to sobriety and started noticing things were wrong. She hired private investigators, accountants and me."

Bank accounts established with the Social Security numbers of Cobain, Love and Frances Bean were set up and used to buy and sell real estate. "There is now a web of homes which were bought, flipped and used to launder money -- up to $500 million worth," Holmes claims. "Any of the property we can get back will be donated to people who have lost their homes in foreclosures."

"We are also working with local and federal authorities," Holmes said. "When Mr. Cobain died in 1994, he left his enormously wealthy estate behind for the benefit of his mother, two sisters, a brother, his wife and young daughter. Many of those [involved with] the estate's coffers mismanaged, stole and outright looted it shamelessly."

Wondered why Love hasn't Twittered this yet.

OK so she is a user of whatever the vice is. How funny that now the money is gone so is her ability to buy her vice. No wonder she is now getting sober. Question: If the money was still there would this have been an issue?

How could Kurt Cobain amass such a huge fortune? He had no talent and was in the business for a short period of time. Half a billion dollars missing? If you paid me, I wouldn't have walked across the street to see him perform.

Yeah, the "spell" of drug abuse. Drug abuse is a CHOICE. Then the whole part about giving all the real estate they recover to people who have lost their homes to forclosure, mostly by spending more than they could possibly afford, that's priceless. Ray may have an odd way of putting things but at least he has the balls to take a stand on something. This is just a druggie, albeit an infamous druggie, realizing she blew all the money someone else worked for and now she's looking for somebody else to blame. The giving away recovered real estate part is just a play to try and make her seem more sympathetic. Ms. Jayda, you are PART OF THE PROBLEM. Shove that sympathy right up your ass. People make their own choices in life. Nobody makes you take drugs. Anytime somebody screws up their life they go looking for somebody else to blame. People like your dumb ass are enablers. You want to hold their hand and tell them everything will be alright, they can find somebody else to blame so that they don't have to take responsibility for the fact that they blew millions and wrecked their child's future so that they could get high. You can't feel bad for these people and say she was just ill-advised. She was a druggie when he met her, she stayed a druggie when he sent his brains all over the wall, she's most likely still a druggie now. This is a lame attempt to try and improve her image. The kid is the only innocent one here. Courtney Love deserves no sympathy. You can hate me all you want, I just don't give a shit. If you think what I am saying here is wrong then all I have to ask you is what's wrong with your life that you are trying to make an excuse for? You make excuses like this for other people because you feel that if you can convince enough people that a psychotic druggie like Courtney Love is ok then you probably are too. WRONG.

Raytowntransit's remarks are cold, but it's ridiculous how everybody feels sorry for people with this imaginary "disease". It's not a disease. It's a choice. It's a lifestyle. It's messed up. But, it's not a damn disease!
Oh...and by the way, I have plenty of experience with dope and dope addicts.

It's a shame she wasn't sober enough to take care of the responsibility of her daughter and herself , the rest of us work are azzes off , stay sober and airheads like this bimbo blow millions on drugs etc... Kurt was a rock icon who sadly took his own life because of depression , Courtney Love is a loser.....

As if any of the rest of us are better than Courtney Love and whoever (whether (s)he be Ms. Love herself or someone else) who stole from her, I say we all condemn Courtney Love and her robbers to hell in a handbasket. Now if you're outraged at the idea that anyone would even suggest that Courtney Love and whoever robbed her should be condemned as the chiefs of sinners, maybe you understand that nobody but Jesus of Nazareth, Who died on the cross about two thousand years ago, is better or more worthy of hell in any basket than anyone else. Only Jesus of Nazareth is better than anyone else, and that's why only Jesus can even bear even the guilt, sin, and shame of Courtney Love.
