Franz Ferdinand Just Say 'No' to Tacos

Although he did order tacos with a Rolling Stone reporter recently, Franz Ferdinand's Alex Kapranos apparently has standards. The band has declined a lucrative deal with an unnamed Tex-Mex fast food chain. The promotion would've involved a commercial featuring the song 'Bite Hard' put to the image of satisfied customers biting into chili enchiladas. "It would be like going to McDonald's or something like that," Kapranos told Absolute Radio. "It just didn't seem right."
That may or may not have been a dig against the Shins who, yes, licensed 'New Slang' to the golden arches back in 2002. The move created a backlash amongst fans.
Regardless, it's safe to say that the narrator in Franz Ferdinand's 'Take Me Out' is, decidedly, not an enchilada.
