Morrissey Has Technical Difficulties at Coachella

Morrissey took to the mainstage at Coachella on opening day full of hope and promise, kicking things off with 'This Charming Man,' and playing only a handful of songs from his brand new album, 'Years of Refusal' in an effort to cover his entire canon. A series of unfortunate incidents happened onstage, though largely unnoticed by the audience until he drew attention to them. "What's wrong now?" he even asked someone in the stage wings at one point.

He forced his recent single, 'I'm Thowing My Arms Around Paris' into an early ending due to problems onstage, although again, most in the exceptionally chatty audience barely noticed. In a confusing moment between songs, Morrissey told the crowd that he smelled burning flesh. "I can only hope it's human flesh," he said. It was unclear if he was joking or not. Unsettling as it was at times, by the time Morrissey closed with the one-time teen anthem 'How Soon Is Now?' all was forgiven. After all, he is Morrissey. Better luck next time, Moz.
