Morrissey Has Technical Difficulties at Coachella

Morrissey took to the mainstage at Coachella on opening day full of hope and promise, kicking things off with 'This Charming Man,' and playing only a handful of songs from his brand new album, 'Years of Refusal' in an effort to cover his entire canon. A series of unfortunate incidents happened onstage, though largely unnoticed by the audience until he drew attention to them. "What's wrong now?" he even asked someone in the stage wings at one point. He forced his recent single, 'I'm Thowing My Arms Around Paris' into an early ending due to problems onstage, although again, most in the exceptionally chatty audience barely noticed. In a confusing moment between songs, Morrissey told the crowd that he smelled burning flesh. "I can only hope it's human flesh," he said. It was unclear if he was joking or not. Unsettling as it was at times, by the time Morrissey closed with the one-time teen anthem 'How Soon Is Now?' all was forgiven. After all, he is Morrissey. Better luck next time, Moz.

Saw him at an outdoor venue a couple of years ago and he pulled the same crap...sounded great to us, but he pouted and moaned the whole show- until he abruptly ended the concert in the middle of a song and threw the mic down. Loved the music- over his drama!

He did the same crap in Cleveland years ago. Why does everybody put up with his garbage?

we do it because it's fun to pretend we enjoy his crap music, therefore we are cooler and smarter than everyone else. old news.

I was there for his show and so dissapointed by his set. I had tickets to see him at the Inland Invasion and he cancelled then he put on a free show for ticket holders and I missed the "show" because I was 20 minutes late!
He doesn't care that his fans pay good money to hear his music. I love his music but after all the DRAMA I will never pay to go to his shows again.. but if the tickets are free... i might give him another whirl :)
LONG LIVE DEPECHE MODE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dave Gahan would never pull this crap.

He also cancelled the Paramount show the next night in Oakland, and was spotted partying at THE DNA LOUNGE in SF the same night- disappointing thousands of fans and then going clubbing instead........seems as though MOZ has turned into one of the spoiled pop stars he usually criticizes. BOOOOO- BAD FORM MOZ!!!!

boy george did the same thing yrs ago after being allowed back in the US. only it took him less than a minute to blame the venue ... nothing better than english music, but nothing worse than watching those artists getting old. i wish madonna would take that part of her admiration of the english and go ... bye madge.
love, your oldest fan
ps. depeche mode not included!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Who's There?
Morrissey.
Morrissey Who?
Morrissey, more I think I should have retired decades ago.

Morrissey who? I have been a musician most of my life and there is one thing I noticed that is true, those with real talent are humble and true to their fans...those with very little, complain and act like "their all that" to compensate for not having any. And to see most of these so called celebrities posing as music fans for nothing more than a photo opp makes me want to puke...half of them were were on their phones or texting...what a joke.

His pouty behavior aside, how can you possibly say he has no talent?? Especially if you really are a life-long musician, as you claim. Have you ever really listened to The Smiths? Even if his/their music is not your favorite genre, saying he has no talent is like saying Robert de Niro can't act.
