Faithfull's Manager Arrested for Allegedly Slapping Airline Worker

Airports have been ripe for trouble with musicians in the past, but last weekend's scene at a London airport involved singer Marianne Faithfull as a bystander only. Her manager and on-again, off-again boyfriend, Francois Ravard, was the one led away in cuffs after he allegedly hit a female British Airways manager in the face.

Faithfull and Ravard were flying from London's Gatwick airport to a concert in Bologna, when airline workers stopped them for having too much luggage. A BA employee thought Ravard, 51, was too drunk to board the plane and when the female duty manager came to settle the matter, he became "very hostile and argumentative," according to a witness. With Faithfull and other passengers watching, Ravard allegedly grabbed the woman and slapper her twice in the face. Police were called, Ravard was arrested and Faithfull was allowed to board the plane alone.

The 62-year-old singer and Ravard had been in a relationship for 15 years, but she recently revealed they'd broken up several months ago. In 2007, she called him her "soulmate" as he supported her during her battle with breast cancer. Faithfull famously dated Mick Jagger in the '60s, and was married three times. As of now, she hasn't commented on the future of their professional relationship after this incident.
