Since you obviously haven't noticed, take a close look at the world around you. Racism has done a complete flip flop these days.

In some ways (maybe on a surface level) it has gotten better but racism is still alive today just much more subtle. It really depends where you live, what class you're in, and what your life experience is. Keep in mind white Americans aren't the only ones who are racist, it is a problem all around the world and even minorities hate each other. Expecting white country listeners to be racist might cause more tension because they feel judged but at least you said "most" and not "all".
