Bob Seger and Bandmate Sued Over Car Crash

Bob Seger, 63, was named as a defendant in a negligence suit after his car was involved in an accident, which also involved his bassist from the Silver Bullet Band.

The suit, filed last Friday, alleges that Scott Martin was riding a motorcycle near Independence Township, Michigan, when he was struck by Christopher Campbell, Seger's bassist. Campbell, 61, happened to be driving Seger's 2004 Lexus at the time, and swears he didn't see Martin as he turned into a driveway. Campbell was ticketed for failing to stop after the accident and Martin walked away unscathed.

Now, Martin is seeking over $25,000 for injuries to his head, neck, back, arms, wrists and hands, which developed over the past few months. According to the Detroit News, Martin's attorney said his client's hand is "twisted pretty bad, kind of into a claw," and he hasn't been able to work as a trash hauler. Seger, Campbell, and Martin have yet to comment, but we suspect the outcome of this won't exactly have the same buzz as the Phil Spector verdict.
