Dears' Bus Stolen on Eve of Tour

We've heard of guitars and other equipment being stolen from bands on tour, even notebooks full of lyrics at airports, but a whole tour bus? There's always a first for everything and leave it to one of those indie-breaking Montreal bands to lead the way: As the Dears were packing for a six-week North American jaunt last night, they noticed something missing -- their Prevost tour bus. The band's ride was stolen from the parking lot of a Comfort Inn in St. Jean, Pointe-Claire (Canada) on the eve of the tour. Amazingly, no gear or luggage had made it on board yet. Just hopes, dreams and future stories of tour debauchery. Those future stories will still take place -- the Dears kick-off their tour Thursday night in Toronto, before heading down to Brookly,n and then snaking across the continent.
Dear Dears: We hear Greyhound has great deals right now, although you may wish to inquire about their baggage policy.
