Jay Brannan might look familiar to anybody who saw the Houston-born singer-songwriter's head-turning performance in the 2006 indie flick 'Shortbus.' Now Brannan is gearing up to show the world he has more than just acting chops with the July 7 release of his new album, 'In Living Cover.' In addition to two original songs, the album will contain seven covers ranging from 'Zombie,' by the Cranberries, to Bob Dylan's 'Blowin' in the Wind.' Fans will have a chance to hear the tunes live when Brannan hits the road for a U.S. tour, kicking off on July 8 at Joe's Pub in New York City (full dates after the jump).
