Brian Bonz, 'Dee the Dinosaur' -- Video Premiere

As Brian Bonz treks across the U.S. with Kevin Devine and the Miniature Tigers, a single from his latest album, 'From Sumi to Japan,' gets the video treatment. 'Dee the Dinosaur,' directed by Tim Duff of Renart Films, explores the song's dark undertones in the form of, as Bonz tells Spinner, "a short movie." "[The song] 'Dee the Dinosaur' was inspired by a true story of a best friend who wandered off in the night for drugs, after watching a movie at my apartment," Bonz recaps. "Two weeks after I didn't hear from him, it turned out he got jumped and beaten that night. I explained to Tim what the song was about, and he illustrated how adults can come across as children. The video speaks [to the idea that] some people don't just grow up." Watch the exclusive video premiere below.
