Ida Maria Calls on the Ladies

Ida Maria is looking for a few good women. "That's really my mission," she tells Spinner, wondering where all the female rockers have gone. "I really want girls to pick up the guitar or drum sticks or make some noise. Electric instruments were invented for not only the guys."

And, just like the guys, Maria says music serves a cathartic purpose. More specifically, belting her tune 'Oh My God.' "It's very often my favorite song to sing," she says. "I always have a lot of emotion gather up through the day that I want to get out. I have this bank filled up with frustration and I take it all out at that song instead of at people off stage."

See? Become a rocker and turn into a nicer person. Maria promises it works that way.
