Dan Auerbach, 'Heartbroken, In Disrepair' (Dan Shreds Version) -- Video Premiere

Filmed in a field in Texas -- a long way from Dan Auerbach's Akron, Ohio home studio -- the Black Keys frontman still looks right at home in the open field with nothing but a windmill and open sky surrounding him and his backing band. As one half of Keys, we're used to hearing hipster-approved blues rock from Auerbach and he still delivers on his solo album 'Keep It Hid.' But the new single, 'Heartbroken, In Disrepair,' also offers a psychedelic spaciousness that director Peter Zavadil captures by filming the band shredding the tune in a sparse landscape. Trading one drummer for two, Auerbach also offers more of that timeless reverb; perhaps a trick he picked up from one of those drummers. Take a look -- that's right, it's Patrick Hallahan from My Morning Jacket. Oh Auerbach, we're not in Ohio anymore.
