Kevin Devine, 'I Could Be With Anyone' -- Video Premiere

In 'I Could Be With Anyone' -- the first video from Kevin Devine's new album, 'Brother's Blood' -- director Sherng-Lee Huang and Co. (courtesy of $99 Videos) explore the song's subtext with a series of couples both real and staged in various stages of their relationships. "It's a song about what's happening behind the smiling face on the first date," Devine tells Spinner. And while the song and video aren't direct responses to the recent decision by the California Supreme Court to uphold Prop 8, given the myriad of couples featured in the clip -- along with the song title itself -- one can't help but read between some lines. "I don't think it's for the state to legislate morality or use imposed morality as a weapon, and when you strip away the semantics and legal ease, that's exactly what's behind the ruling," Devine says. "Let people be." Watch the exclusive premiere of 'I Could Be With Anyone' below.
