The first video from Dave Matthews Band's new album, 'Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King,' might look familiar. Directed by Fenton Williams and Jeff Crane, the clip employs a bevy of stop-motion animation a la Peter Gabriel's 'Sledgehammer.' And what would a DMB video be without a little live action? I'm kinda past analyzing music videos but this was *is* odd. Takes a fairly profound song and juxtaposes goofiness. Still, Dave's charisma leaps out as usual and I loved it.

I love this song....I listen to it over and over.
I don't know how "profound" the song is ibbillyj sometimes people take life too seriously...it just is what it is..."not right or wrong"....dave makes me feel high.

definitely eh hee all over again including the stuff being put on his face. i expected something a little more relevant to the song...dave in a park...carter as a fireman or even funnier the gangster rollin by with "the windows rolled down". i also wonder how the fellas felt about not being in the actual video...there are shots of stefan, what u can tell is timmy's guitar, and plenty of carter rockin the drums...but no boyd...what gives?? he has a solo in the song too!
