The Mixtress Looks to Restore 'Human Aspect' of Compilations

Thanks to the Internet, it's pretty easy to find new music for free (including, ahem, yours truly's MP3 of the Day). But for some, the joys found in physical mixtape-making are still alive and well. Cue "The Mixtress" -- Portland, Oregon's one-woman operation with a quest to "connect the world through music."
In 'The Mixtress,' a seven-minute documentary (free courtesy or our friends at SnagFilms), you'll meet Jules, her ninjas and more characters in her unique, passionate life. And in case you were wondering, the mix for this film is an indie-pop delight with tracks from bands like Clare and the Reasons and the Cardigans.
