Wilco Avoids Getting Booed at Bonnaroo

Wilco has performed at Bonnaroo several times before, but this time was different: this time they returned to the festival's main stage to "open for Bruce Springtseen" Saturday night.

The band kicked off their set with the song 'Wilco,' one of several played from the new album, 'Wilco' (yes, same name), and indulged the audience in old favorites such as 'Company in My Back' and 'At Least That's What You Said.' "If anybody boos us," said ringleader Jeff Tweedy, "we have a built-in excuse. We can just imagine they're yelling for 'Bruuuuuce!!'"

Even though Tweedy worked that joke all day -- and even though a Bruce chant broke out because of it -- at least nobody booed. Wilco gave them no reason to.
