Yusuf Islam Forgives Coldplay for Allegedly Copying His Song

Yusuf Islam (formerly known as Cat Stevens) is cool with Coldplay now, after first accusing the band of ripping off his song 'Foreigner Suite' on Coldplay's hit, 'Viva La Vida.' In fact, Islam wants to sit down with them for a cup of tea."I stand by what I said. They did copy my song but I don't think they did it on purpose," Islam told the Daily Express. "I have even copied myself without even knowing I have done it. I'll write down what I think is a good melody and realize it's the same as something I have already done."
"I don't want them to think I am angry with them," Islam adds. "I'd love to sit down and have a cup of tea with them and let them know it's OK."
Tea is a far cry from a lawsuit, which Islam first insinuated. Perhaps Joe Satriani will have a change of heart, too.

Lets face the facts .. Satriani copied Cat Stevens because the song Foreigner Suite was out before Satriani's!

Funny that!
Lets get the facts straight. First off, Coldplay still ripped off Satriani. Cat's song is not as close as he would have you believe. The only reason he's stepping forward is because his new album is produced by the same man as coldplay's new album. They figure if he forgives them it may take some of the steam away from Satriani's case. As much as I like Cat's new stuff, this is unfair to Satriani.
