Without Michael Jackson, 'Another One Bites the Dust,' Queen's 1980 classic hit, may have never entered the pop charts and become a No. 1 song in America. "It was Michael who heard our track 'Another One Bites the Dust' when he came to see us on 'The Game' tour," Queen guitarist Brian May recalls in a blog post on his website, "and told us we were mad if we didn't release it as a single."
May also says that Jackson would attend Queen's performance when the band toured America, and that Jackson and Queen singer Freddie Mercury were friends. The two had also collaborated on material that has not been released.
"Amusingly, after Freddie and Michael has spent some time together recording," says May, "Freddie came back and played us the work in progress, and he remarked that Michael had come up with a great album title ... 'BAD.' A little later, Freddie smiled his wicked little conspiratorial smile, and said ... 'I have a perfect idea for our album title... we can call it ... wait for it ... 'GOOD'!!!"
May writes that he was very shocked to hear of Jackson's death on Thursday at the age of 50. "I think the world is a more colorful place thanks to Michael's work ... he was a truly wonderful performer at his peak. I think he qualifies as a great artist; he devoted his whole body and soul to his art. RIP Michael."

Ok, HE WAS a great entertainer, and a wonderful songwriter. He gave a lot to us.I LOVED his music.
HOWever, he was also a child molester, accused by far more indiviuals than we al knew about. So let's call it what it is.Just because they couldnt convist him(due to his pricey lawyers and pay-offs) doesnt make him innocent. SO ROCKSTAR/FORMER CHild Molester dies from Accidental(?) Overdose. And, I will attribute a lOT of that to his overbearing, money-hungry abusive FATHER.end of story

Michael Jackson defined; the most pivotal influential and driving creative force in the latter part of the 20th century. The consummate entertainer, a master of improvisation, a conduit of energy and spirituality and humanity, not just a dancer, not just a singer, a performer whose standards surpassed his own ambitions and his own vanity. When you say Michael Jackson, it’s in the same breath of Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., Elvis Pressley, the modern Fred Astaire.
His downfall, his own ego. The enablers, the parasites and hypocrites, those that spun him a web that his mental and physical health were at risk. And of course with the curse of talent and fame and wealth, come indebtedness, self medication, induced hype by those who scrutinize the pantheon level of success. He was of this world, but he lived and choose to close himself off, when the world began to close in on him.
