Yes, he was the king of Pop, one of the greatest musicians most likely in the history of music. Don't forget his personal history ... That will also be part of his legacy. --Connie E.
I'm not sure if sad is the best word to describe how me and so many others feel about losing this icon. I feel like a small piece of my childhood is gone. --Daniellekee
He was beautiful, and incredibly talented. I feel sad that he didn't have true love in his life. The kind of life that makes you feel safe, beautiful and empowered. --Earthean
Just two years separated us in age, so I guess you could say we grew up together. I realized a very long time ago that this man was something very special. A talent like this is never replaced, ever, and that's what make this so sad. -- Nick
The 'Thriller' album is the single greatest album produced in the 1980s. Yes, the greatest. No person has ever graced pop music with as much energy as Michael Jackson. --Lonelypoet

There is not another artist that could tear up a stage like Michael. My son, now 15, didn't even know who [he] was until about five years ago, and he loves his music. So I guess even teenagers these days know talent when they hear it. --LottsoLover
Funny how such a messed-up individual can make such a positive impression on America. --RancenTyre1
Let's not judge the man on things we do not know. Let's celebrate his legacy: his music. That is something concrete and factual. You cannot dispute his legacy in the entertainment world. --Lender4Life
For all his fame and notoriety, he was lonely and plagued with demons from his childhood. Even more sad is the tragic way that he seemed to only have his fans to love. I have no idea if the allegations made against him in his life are true, but I do know a wounded spirit when I see one, and Michael Jackson was certainly that. --Fknhippie
Earlier this week we lost Ed McMahon, and I can just hear him in heaven saying, "Heeeeere's Michael!" and Farrah is sitting onstage with Johnny and Ed, watching the best pop act in the world! --Joni
Though I have never been his actual fan, I could never deny that he was not just a performer, but something way, way more. For me it was like Michael Jackson would stay forever, like he would admit no death. It's unnatural to realize that he is dead. Like Elvis is alive forever, the same is Michael -- no matter if you loved him or not, he is just here, an eternal child. --Barrenstar

YOU can't read..you have the cognitive ability to only get your information from TV, the tabloids, and hear-say. You need to grow a BRAIN so that you can use it to critically think for yourself. Go do the research on the depositions (1993 and 2005) When you learn to READ..you will see that he was ACCUSED both times by some greedy, money hungry, hateful "Low-Lifes" (must be relatives of yours).....MICHAEL WAS AQUITTED!!!!!!on 14 counts. The first boy..Justin admitted the he lied because of his hateful, greedy parents. The econd family looked like total fools in court.

This is such a shock to the world. My heart goes out to the Jackson family. Micheal will always be remembered not by the negitive but the positive things that he has given not only to the united states but to the world. Not many people can achieve that in a lifetime. Again my my deepest sympathy goes out to the family because he meant much more to them.
July 04 2009 at 8:00 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyMichael Jackson was a great entertainer who did his job well over the years. Yes, he had his share of problems (as do all of us). Sometimes, extremely talented people have issues. He did address social issues (starvation of children in Africa) through his music. I don't know if he molested any children (the court found him innocent, but if he did he has to answer to God now), I wasn't there. I believe that he dealt with children because it reminded him of something that he didn't have- a childhood. He knew of what childhood was like but was never able to fully experience it because of his career. R. I. P Michael and thank you for all you did. It will be appreciated
July 01 2009 at 10:06 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down Replymichael jackson was a very talented man; we all know that. We all know what the media and the people made him out to be.. but whwn a person has a hard or neglected childhood they tend to always want to make a difference in the life of other children by making their life happier and better. Michael had 3 children living with him and no aligation of malestation ever toward them. He is only guilty of being helpful, loving, kind and giving. People took advantage of him and tried to get a little of what he had .. he is standing before his judge now and his love and humanatarian spirit and his truth to his religion and love for his kids (that the media is saying is not his blood) is showing the true Michael. The only thing he is guilty of is wanting to feel loved as a child by his dad. Michael gave to his heart was content. When he finally gave up his childish ways and became a man, a father, there was no more accusations from children only love for his children. IT is time for the tabloits to to get theirs and be blamed for the pain pills . The man was depressed . depression hurts. H is doctors should have seen that. you don't keep giving painkilers to someone unless they are in pain from surgery.. it looks to me like michael was trying to change his life back to the way he looked as a child. I don't hink he sold his color out. i think he was takining melatonin that changed his pigment after the pepsi commerical exposed. People that are in the spot light need to be respected as a human being as well as a star. Put yourself in his shoes would you like to lose your freedom. In a country that is the land of the free. YES SOMTHING IN HIS LIFE WAS PUBLLIC KNOWLEDGE FROM THE COURTS BUT SOME WAS PERSONAL AND PRIVATE . MICHAEL DESERVED MORE RESPECT.. BET NEEDS TO THROGH A SPECIAL SHOW AND HONOR HIM CORRECTLY. I APPLAUD WHAT THEY TRIED TO DO BUT HE WAS A BLACK MAN THAT DID NOT GET ALL HIS GOODNESS PUBLICIZE.. USHER, NEW EDITION, BOYS TO MEN AND OTHER GROUPS AND ARTIST SHOULD COME TOGETHER AND APPLAUD HIM FOR HELPING OPEN THE DOOR A LITTLE WIDER FOR WHITE PEOPLE TO LOVE BLACK MUSIC ..RAP INCLUDED.. BEING FEATURED ON A MJ RECORD ... PUT YOU OUT THERE TO BE NOTICE.. RECOGNIZE A TRUE ARTIST.

YOU ROCK WWESVC.
How would you really know that? People said what they wanted about him and all the allegations about child molestation were false, leveled by crackwhore, brokeass mothers who only wanted a check and to burn in hell for lying!! Also, the 13 year old who supposedly was molested wouldn't even testify against him in court, and told his bitch mom and the cops that "he never touched me". Why don't you check your facts before you speak about the dead or anyone else.
