Ludacris Says Michael Jackson Inspired Him to 'Shoot for the Sky'

Rapper Chris 'Ludacris' Bridges has conquered both music and film. Like so many others though, he tells Spinner it wouldn't have been possible without Michael Jackson, who passed away Thursday in Los Angeles, unexpectedly at the age of 50. Ludacris says Jackson set the standard for which all stars would later follow.

"It's truly a sad day for the music industry and the world," Ludacris tells Spinner. "No other artist in modern times had a greater impact on our culture and I don't think there's anyone who isn't feeling this right now. He set the highest standard, which inspired people to shoot for the sky. His presence will most definitely be missed and his legacy could never be forgotten. My prayers and thoughts go out to his family."

The only influence he had on this world was teaching little kids that its ok to grab your crotch in public - and while doing so - say things like - I love you all and "god is great" He was a freak - a no talent monster who set the stage for celebrity chasing. he lowered every standard known to civilization and those "ludicrous" individuals who looked up to him are as sick as he was. This world is a better place without that deviant narcissistic sociopath around. I’m throwing a party to celebrate his death and will go to his grave and grab my crotch just like he taught the world to do - Rot in hell you sick twisted freak - WOOO HOOOO ! the king of the freaks is dead - Jesus is great -- thank you so much for putting him in hell with Hitler, and all the monsters of the world! WACKO JACKO the press may say the world mourns - but in truth most of us are soooo Happy!

No matter what a person does we all should show respect because at the end of the day we as fans and out siders did not know him. I heard all kinds of stories about MJ and their were great and some were bad but he won't be the first and he won't be the last person who would go through ups and down. The media made him seem like he was a freak when he was just Michael just like we are us. We all do things that is wierd or strange to others but that's who we are. You called him a monster and that was wrong because we do not know him personally but only what greatness he brought to the people who loves him then, now and always. Perception is wrong of him because what the media says; when we as people really don't know what's true about his personal life, especially when we all know how the media hipes stories and entertaniers lives up when it is sometimes really not like that. Only a ingorant person would say such harsh words about someone who show the world that you can be who ever you want to be even if people think you are strange and wierd. God loves all his children included MICHAEL JACKSON no matter what! Dartanyan, GOD don't like ugly because what have you done in your life that is wrong and people would not agree with you, so before you called out MICHAEL JACKSON and others go in the mirror and ask your self am I rightous and saved and see what answer you get.GOD made each individual seprate and different and that's what make the world special. He did not teach me or others to grab their crouch but he taught us how to be who we are and go for our dreams because MICHAEL JACKSON did't smoke, drink and etc like a lot of entertainers do to this day and at least he did not teach us to do that. I am proud of him and his achievements; can people say that about you? He is one of the ones that GOD called and now he is our angel. I LOVE YOU MICHAEL JACKSON!!!!!

I am so sadden by Michael Jackson death. He was only a few years older than me. When I came into this country I was very small starting school. And I remember every song he sung. When I heard that he had past to a better place after hearing every thing he went through. It kind of remember me my childhood years. Back in those days it was very common that parents treated kids like supposely his father did to him. Mines did the same. Sometimes I think some of that is kind of good. Because crime amongs young kids were not as bad then as it is now. But, the best is that I remember my childhood years when I heard his songs.

I DID NOT KNOW MICHAEL PERSONALLY SO I DON'T HAVE THE RIGHT TO PASS JUDGEMENT OR ATTEMPT TOO, BUT I DO KNOW HIS MUSIC. THE MAN WAS TRULY THE KING IN THAT ARENA! ONCE AGAIN, IT IS TOO BAD WE CAN ONLY LET A PERSON KNOW HOW MUCH WE CARED AND/OR LOVED THEM WHEN THEY CAN NO LONGER HEAR OR SEE US. MAY OUR CONCERN PROVE COMFORTING FOR THE FAMILY.
