Gene, Your right, what was Carlos thinkING? HE WAS IN THE PROCESS OF PAINTING HIS FACE WHITE AND BLACK BUT 4 OTHER SMUCKS WERE ALREADY DOING THAT. Probably because anyone with a modicum of musical talent cares about music. Gene Simmons is a very savvy businessman and he isn't a musician he is all about the money and would be the first one to admit that. He makes comments like the one above to keep his face out in the public eye. He will put his name to anything if it will make him a buck. While I don't thinks much of his musical talent, his ability to brand and merchadise himself is awe-inspiring. But please lets not raise him to the level of god yet, he wouldn't want it anyway I hear the pay sucks.

Ozzy Osbourne (? on spelling) also has a reality show and has done commercials, Alice Cooper has done commercials and has a nightly radio show. Does the fact that they also wear make-up onstage and have a reality show also make them "girly bands"? Hhhhmmmm...

Carlos Santana is a joke. He hasn't had an original thought (or song) since 1973. All these "collaborations" do nothing but show the talent of the OTHER artists in most cases. Santana's guitar licks are still good, but good guitar licks are a dime-a-dozen.
