The video for 'Chains, Chains, Chains' -- the latest single from Elvis Perkins in Dearland -- seems to be swimming (literally) in symbolism and insinuation. There are rising tides, silhouettes, aquatic birds and then, of course, embryonic sea people entangled in a womb-like waterworld. Or something of the sort. It all adds up to an eye-catching video that is mystical and imaginative and perfectly suited for Perkins' poetic hymn.Perkins gives director Sean Pecknold credit for that. "The band and I really just had to be his shadow puppets for an afternoon," Perkins tells Spinner. "And then he created a never-before-seen world around us."
Never before seen until now, that is.

I have found my bliss!! I LOVE this song....it moves my soul and body (literally). I exercise in the pool and when this song comes on i swim and smile and think if I were to die at this moment I would die happy with a smile on my face! Hopefully, that won't happen...I'm 65 and in good health but as you can probably tell, this song really fills me with joy. Kudos to the horn section....it is wonderful! Thank you Elvis for this song.
