Eels Won't Tour Behind 'Hombre Lobo' Just Yet

WIth a new album, 'Hombre Lobo', now on shelves, one would expect that the Eels would be on the eve of a world tour to rally behind it. Unless, of course, one knows the Eels. Leading man Mark Oliver Everett (aka. "E") says he thinks the whole idea of touring just to promote an album seems a little bit, um, off-base. "I'm not going to disrespect the audience by going out there and doing something that my heart's not into," E tells Spinner. "And it's not into it right now. But that could change at any moment." Put that way, well, we don't want you out on the road either, E.
"The thing is, since 'Blinking Lights' came out, we went on three long world tours that were all very different from each other," he says. "And, you know, isn't that enough?"
For you, maybe. For us, well, we'll keep waiting for that change of heart.
