This summer, Swedish indie faves Dungen will finally return to North America for a full tour, but they're not planning to storm the continent with a new product, per se. The band is technically still out behind '4,' the album they released nearly a year ago, but it's been three times that long since Dungen trekked across these shores. "The tours and shows have never felt like promotional work, besides obvious stuff like radio shows and in-stores," bandleader Gustav Ejstes tells Spinner. This new tour will cut across the States during August after a short foray into Canada with the Fleet Foxes.
"I guess there are people who have the records and were at the last show three years ago and want to see us again," says Gustav. "And then there are, or has been, the hipsters who pick new bands to follow all the time."
Same as it ever was. Except, you know, for our economy and all.
