Jay Brannan Has a 'Good Mother'

NYC-based singer-songwriter Jay Brannan heads across the border for this latest cover tune off his aptly titled new album 'In Living Cover.'

Originally recorded by Calgary's Jann Arden (whose last release was, ironically, the covers album 'Uncover Me'), 'Good Mother' was a huge hit in the mid-'90s and became her signature concert closer as well as regularly soundtracking teen melodramas like 'Dawson's Creek.'

Brannan applies his charmingly low-key acoustic approach, marked by finger-picked guitar and a slowed-down delivery, to Arden's paean to mamas.
